Today we celebrate the safe arrival of frozen breeding doses from the cosmic, late stallion, Perengistan!! Shared generously by Medeus Stud in Italy and smoothly imported by Mersant International.

Perengistan was bred at Stavropol Stud from world class parents: the influential and elite producer stallion Karar and renowned dam of Piastr–one of the most successful Akhal-Teke racehorse sires of modern time–Pudokhan. Perengistan was grandson to exceptional elite-grade producer Kerzi; Arktika 1, who was a notable granddaughter of dressage Olympic gold medalist: Absent; versatile “Prize of Kalinin” and “Probnyi Prize” racing and jumping stallion 943 Arslan; and Pariza, a Dagestan-born daughter of the famous racing stallion 919 Sere, granddaughter of powerful mover Finish, and successful racehorse producer. Perengistan’s pedigree represents a strategic culmination of racing and classical sporthorse bloodlines praised for extraordinary athleticism and beauty.

Perengistan himself was a racing Mazan Prize winner (1400m) and a top 5 placer in 2005 at 2YR. He was a stallion of elegant type and presence, well loved and known worldwide through the passionate efforts of Medeus Stud to preserve his legacy. Perengistan has produced a number of beautifully typey, elastic-gaited, and sportive foals who are finding success in eventing, jumping, and endurance around the world. His offspring have good characters and are very willing, intelligent partners. We are delighted to introduce his influence into our program.
