Gappar was bred and born at Dacor Akhal-Teke Stud Farm in Kazakhstan, where he became the 2016 Champion of Kazakhstan 2YR Colt, and he imported to the USA in 2025. Gappar was sired by 2007 Young World Champion Pamel-Kan, son of internationally successful producer and high altitude endurance record-holder Melesur. He is out of supermodel mare Gulbakhram, daughter of 2016 Young Champion of Kazakhstan Gasyr–who is son of two-time World Champion Salyr.
Gappar’s pedigree includes successful jumping and race-rich family history. On his sire side, he carries racehorse producer mare Pariza–who also was dam of “supermother” Pudokchan, mother of one of the most famous Akhal-Teke racehorse studs: Piastr–, complimented on his dam side by Polot, who was sire of Piastr. Gappar also harkens back to Orlan through the cross of mare Oktava and the influential racing/jumping successful stallion 943 Arslan (winner of “Prize of Kalinin” and “Probnyi Prize”). Gappar’s full brother, Galapker-Dacor, won the “Cup of the Moscow Region” in jumping and his half-brother, Sapar-Kan (Pamel-Kan x Sabyrli), is also an elite grade proven jumper–demonstrating Gappar’s own potential as he begins a new career in North America.
Gappar is a striking, highly-sooty metallic buckskin stallion with a powerful sportive build, inquisitive nature, and playful spirit. He has beautiful, floating movements and a highly intelligent character. He produced a lovely colt in 2023 named Khoshkel, out of Salyr and Kerzi granddaughter Khanshaiym, and has at least one foal expected in 2026. Gappar can lend wonderful Akhal-Teke type and a strong balanced build to purebred mares, and he can offer exceptional athleticism and mind to any program.
