Kerkav, lovingly nicknamed “Captain Kerk”, is a red bay purebred Akhal-Teke stallion. He is very correct, with a beautiful shoulder, refined features, and forward moving with a very smooth and balanced gait. This elegant and powerful young stud surprises everyone with his inquisitive and gentle nature, as well as his great personability and level temperament. Kerk is always very willing–a dream to to train–, and demonstrates well the intelligence and versatility of the breed. He has become quite the ambassador at the barn, loved by kids and adults alike. Kerkav is by Akhal-Teke stallion Gallo (Fakir x Gelekul) from the Skak Line and out of MV Fergazel (Gindarkh 13 x Fergan), who is a great granddaughter of Olympic Gold Medalist dressage stallion Absent through his best daughter Takappara 2, and daughter of Gindarkh 13 who held the highest grading level of Elite, given by the International Association of Horse Breeding in Ryazan, Russia. Kerkav’s maternal grandsire Gaukhar 4 was a very successful racehorse. He is sure to pass on good athletic ability and versatility, elegance, and a great mind to any breeding program.
