A young Akhal-Teke filly has become a cultural icon for Kazakhstan and people of the steppes with a growing internet following. She was named Aqzhan (meaning “pure soul”) by the Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and she is part of the presidential stables’ Akhal-Teke breeding program.
She was sired by Gauntly and is out of Tabys-Dacor, a half-sister to our mare Badam-Dacor through their sire Miras-Dacor. Her dam’s side represents a continuation of Melesur and Salyr’s global legacy.
