Celebrating and cheering on half-Teke Mavis and Helen Hand (@willzwhirl42) in their budding eventing career!! 👏🏆 Together, Mavis and Helen achieved a 29.7 in dressage and 2nd place with a clear round in jumping at The Event at Archer!
Mavis is a half QH x Teke by Merdan of Magic Valley Akhal-Tekes, bred by Kristi Plutt, and a paddock neighbor to our Tekes. She has been a fantastic example and ambassador for what the Akhal-Teke can add in crossbreeding. Mavis was a superstar at the Akhal-Teke Association of America’s conference clinic in 2023 and is a constant favorite at the barn—the full package of beauty, brains, and power. We are so excited to see what these two do together next.
