Saphir Khan, of Posman and Pel lines, is a stunning metallic buckskin son of successful Russian-imported stud Sephard Shael, from the 1998 Young Champion & 1999 Champion of Russia stallion Murgab and champion and the champion-producer mare Dargansara. He is out of the lovely Alamet, granddaughter of elite grade and athletically proven sire, stallion Astrachan, and granddaughter of exquisite Swedish-imported stallion Asman. Saphir Khan is also great grandson of Polot, champion-sire and arguably one of the most important Akhal-Teke racehorse sires of his generation, and the exceptional champion-sire Gaigisiz.
Gulbabek-Dacor is from Kaplan and Taifa lines as daughter of 2011 Champion of Kazakhstan stallion Karabek, son of prolific leading Stavropol stud Karar, and model-mare Galam, daughter of the one-and-only 2007 Young World Champion stallion Pamel-Kan. She is also great granddaughter of outstanding horses Kerzi (elite racehorse), Arktika 1 (granddaughter of Absent), Orlan (successful racer and stud in the famously talented Ovgan family), Melesur (international sire and high-altitude high-endurance stallion), and Gasyr (2006 Young Champion of Kazakhstan).
This is a marriage of outstanding beauty and athleticism, between two exceptionally kind-hearted and smart-minded horses—qualities we expect they will pass on. Gulbabek-Dacor and Saphir Khan are also highly unrelated, with no shared ancestors within the last four generations—which is exciting for the diversification of blood for the breed in North America. We hope this pairing will elevate and continue on family legacies and capabilities of both.
