About Arpad
Arpad is one of our up-and-coming stud and competition prospects. He was bred and lovingly raised by Amina Liubitskaya, and imported from St. Petersburg, Russia in 2025. Arpad has a high-metallic coat and shines like liquid gold in the summer sun. He was named for a Scythian king in what is now Hungary and whose name also represents golden fields of barley in early Turkic. He is a favorite of visitors, eye-catching and easy-tempered, and has beautiful ground-covering gaits with a very forward mind.
Arpad’s pedigree represents an exciting blend of talent and beauty. His sire line is known for exceptional speed and stamina, and Arpad’s sire, the noble Persey-Geli, lended beautiful balance to the line type in addition to passing on a good nature. Arpad also inherited nice height and depth of heartgirth from his dam, Angelina, who was also the 2023 “Champion Mare” of the Northern Star Akhal-Teke Championship. His dam brings in such quality breeding that his half-brother, also out of Angelina, was even given as a birthday gift to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Arpad is grandson of elites Damir-Geli and Pendjegush, who has been a muse for multiple artists in sculpture and painting. He is also great grandson of Dargi (son of the great Gigant 17 and Darpa), Momm (son of talented high-altitude endurance stallion Melesur), Tolkun (son of the rare Turkmen Telekush/ Melekush), the prestigious Polot, who was sire of the famous racing producer Piastr, and stallion Anchar (son of Agava, by foundation stallion Gelishikli and out of wonder mare Alsona). Within the last 4-generations, Arpad also carries mare 1634 Pazilla (who descends from the 1321 Pobeda branch of extraordinary racing dam line founder, Pel), racing success Kerzi, foundation sire Sovkhoz-II, and 1978 Champion of the Breed, Sere, twice.
