Algushbai, affectionately called Auggie, is a chestnut (nd1 gene) purebred Akhal-Teke. This expressive, playful, and flashy horse has a depth of spirit and powerful, floating movement. He has a handsome head, powerful shoulders, and stunning chrome coat. Sensitive yet bold, he’s a joy to work with and responds well to lightness. He also loves to run and has great natural speed. Auggie is an exceptionally quick leaner and a real treasure.

Algushbai is learning to become a mounted archery horses at Wumanti Earth Sanctuary with Kristin ‘Gemma Ra’Star’ DiFerdinando!

Algushbai is by Akhal-Teke stallion Kevlin (Arin x Kamiah) from the Gelishikli Line and out of MV Fergazel (Gindarkh 13 x Fergan), who is a great granddaughter of Olympic Gold Medalist dressage stallion Absent through his best daughter Takappara 2, and daughter of elite graded Gindarkh 13. Algushbai very much inherited smooth, floating and forward gaits through his paternal grandsire Arin–who did well in western dressage and whose own sire’s beauty (Asman) inspired a horse sculpture series by Margarita Malova–; maternal great grandsire Gaukhar 4, a very successful racehorse; and of outstanding mover and elite grade offspring producer Mamuk. Paternal great grandsire Melechan was a successful dressage horse in Germany and was one of the four Akhal-Teke stallions used to found the Nez Perce breeding program in America; he also sired the 1999/2002 Number One Ranked Elite purebred stallion in North America and 2000 XP ride finisher, Astrachan. Algushbai’s pedigree compliments this on his maternal side with great granddam Fargona, who was dam of Astrachan. He is sure to contribute a strong yet balanced build, athletic versatility, and a good working mind to any breeding program.
