Champion of Kazakhstan – “Absent 2016” 2YR Colts

Gappar is a striking, highly-sooty stallion with a powerful sportive build and playful spirit. Bred and born at Dacor Akhal-Teke Stud Farm in Kazakhstan and imported to the USA in 2025. He is by 2007 Young World Champion and elite grade stallion Pamel-Kan who also sired other elite grade horses including proven jumpers Sapar-Kan (over 140cm) and, Gappar’s full brother, Galapker-Dacor. Gappar’s paternal grandsire is champion and elite grade producing stallion Melesur, son of Sovkhoz II who was a stallion that produced some of the highest winning and fastest racing Akhal-Teke families in modern time; Melesur was also a successful sire in his own rights and produced quality sporthorses around the world. Sovkhoz II carries the rare legacy of the El line through Almaz from which Gappar descends, a line known for speed and endurance. Gappar’s paternal granddam is Pleyada, a quality granddaughter of stallion Yulduz and racehorse producer mare Pariza–who also was dam of “supermother” Pudokchan, mother of one of the most famous Akhal-Teke racehorse studs, Piastr.

Gappar is out of the stunning mare Gulbakhram, who compliments this race-rich family history. Gappar’s maternal granddam is Gajap, 2008 Reserve Champion of Kazakhstan and granddaughter of 1095 Polot who was known for his agility and strength lent to his offspring, including Piastr. Gulbakhram is daughter of the 2016 Young Champion of Kazakhstan, Gasyr, who was sired by 1999 Junior World Champion and 2000 World Champion, Salyr. Gulbakhram is also great granddaughter of elite producer stallion Gaigysyz and mare Orlan, from the famous performance horse producing Oktava – Ovgana damfamily, through the cross of mare Oktava and the influential racing/jumping successful stallion 943 Arslan (winner of “Prize of Kalinin” and “Probnyi Prize”).

Gappar produced a lovely colt in 2023 named Khoshkel, out of Salyr and Kerzi granddaughter Khanshaiym.
