The beautiful, rugged landscape of the Chaar Appaloosa horse’s homeland.

The Chaar evolved to endure in these extreme high altitude conditions and live in harmony with its dramatic seasonal changes as they climb or descend throughout the year. They are a hardy, intelligent, and surefooted breed that have been sacred to Kyrgyzstan’s nomadic way of life. They almost disappeared and were almost lost to history, but they are being carefully revitalized and returned to the Celestial Mountains.

This year we hope to bring the first Chaar to North America and share more about the value of these ancient spotted mountain horses worldwide.
