Akhal-Teke embryo available for contracting 2026! For purebred or partbred foal.
At Arcana Heritage Horses, one of our goals with Akhal-Tekes is to create a network of breeders to share and exchange breeding opportunities in the ultimate pursuit of improving the breed’s quality, presence, and accessibility in North America. One of these is a chance to bring some of our mares’ genetics into your program.
For 2026, we have decided to offer an embryo transfer from our purebred, Kazakh-imported mare Badam-Dacor–to be carried in your own recipient mare with your selected stallion. This opportunity allows you to bring in exclusive, high-quality genetics to your program without the expense of purchasing, importing, or owning another mare. It also helps support our mission by dispersing quality genetics and further bolstering the Akhal-Teke breed in our region. The embryo can be used for producing a purebred or a rare Akhal-Teke dam line crossbred foal.
Badam-Dacor is buckskin daughter of 2009 Kazakhstan Reserve Champion Miras (from two-time World Champion Salyr) and out of Balsheker (from 2011 Champion of Kazakhstan). She is linebred with multi-champion producer Gaigysyz. She is great granddaughter to Khorsta 19 by 971 Khalif who sired the famously exotic Tokhtamysh, Karar from the exceptional Kerzi and Absent granddaughter Arktika 1, and elite graded Samar-Kan from high altitude endurance horse Melesur. Badam also carries great names including successful racer 919 Sere, Orlan from the super Ovgan family, successful producer Pampa, and 1999 Russian Champion Murgab.
The reason we have selected to offer Badam for this unique opportunity is because she unfortunately cannot carry her own foals due to an unfortunate accidental injury, and our only option to share her genetics will be an embryo transfer once a year in accordance with studbook rules. Badam is a powerful and bold mare always ready to work and curious about everything. She has beautiful movement and a lot of presence. She can lend a lot of special qualities to her foals.
If you are interested in this rare opportunity to use an embryo from a purebred, imported Akhal-Teke mare in your program, let’s talk!
The deadline for contracting a foal via embryo with Badam for 2026 is March.
