The handsome Gaukhar 4, a maternal great grandsire of our Akhal-Tekes Kerkav and Algushbai. Gaukhar 4 was born at Lugovskoi Stud in 1977 by Champion of the Breed elite stallion Garem 11 and out of Merkenka 20. He was a successful racehorse and producer, earned elite grading, and was also named Champion of the Breed with his long strides, noble head, and typical features. One of his daughters, Gumi (Gaukhar 4 – Moral) held a racetrack record 1:03.8 at 1,000 meters. Gaukhar 4 is still frequently seen in Akhal-Teke racing and sport horse pedigrees.
