Gelishikli (Fakir Sulu – Gezel), born in 1949 in Ashkabad. This is the sire line foundation stallion for our Akhal-Teke, Algushbai. This line is known for often producing smooth movements and good temperaments. Gelishikli is brother to another foundation sire, Fakirpelvan, both whom were graded Elite. Though Gelishikli did not succeed on the racetrack, he exemplified beautiful gaits that lent well to the development of sport horses in other disciplines. Today, the popular Gelishikli line represents almost a third of all Akhal-Teke.
